I'm up early and your blog popped up in my inbox. How delightful to see you and to hear you sing, my friend! And I love the focus of your next series: blessing the Lord. What reason do I have to bless the Lord? He is so faithful … through everything, he lavishes grace upon me. (I'm listening to Matt Redman sing 10,000 Reasons as I comment.)
Today I want to bless the Lord for His generosity to me…makes me want to be generous with others. So many times, I feel like God has given me exactly what I needed…right when I needed it…even if I didn't know I needed it. He rocks.
I bless the Lord because he allows us to partner with him in his work. Kind of like a father letting his small son hit the nail with a hammer…only much more incredible because God is not a man. He's so far above us. And yet, he loves us like a Father and he allows us to take part in his work. What an honor.
I love this word picture you've provided, Sally! How amazing to picture ourselves alongside Him, "helping" him…when really, we're the ones being helped.
Lovely song! SO you are a talented singer AND writer! That's a lot to bless the Lord for! So great to see you on the vlog. Hmmm. I just bless the Lord for my 3 wonderful children, who are joys to homeschool (at least some of the time…). I'm glad we're finally inching our way into a school-year routine (after having moved this summer and still having our lives somewhat topsy-turvy!).
Thanks, Heather. That's so sweet of you to say. 🙂
That's so awesome that you're able to homeschool your kids and that they are joys. My husband was homeschooled, but I think he'd admit that in the older grades, he wasn't as much of a joy… 😛
I bless the Lord because of all the wonderful people He's brought into my life, including YOU. I loved your vlog, Lindsay, and was soooo happy to hear you sing. The Lord has given you a beautiful voice, and I love that you use it for His glory. I'm looking forward to your new series.
I bless the Lord for the internet. Seriously. I have made so many wonderful connections online during a season in my life where circumstances have me physically "isolated" much of the time. It's a wonderful kind of isolation – living on a little farm and home-schooling – but it's hard to get out and just hang out with my friends. So I do it online. And SKYPE – I get to talk face-to-face with my sister who lives in Denmark! I am truly blessed.
The Internet is amazing, isn't it? I would feel soooo alone in the writing world without it. It would be so much harder to keep going with my dream without all the amazing fellow writers I have supporting and encouraging me.
I'm finally on my lunch hour at work, and the first thing I had to do was to come here to see your vlog. Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay, you are soooo blessed with the gift of voice! When you sang, you brought tears to my eyes…your voice is heavenly! You are an angel, and look like one to boot! I had to listen to it again. Awesome!
I bless the Lord for my marriage, my family, my work, my health, and my writing. His hand works in all five.
You have a beautiful, inspired voice:) I bless the Lord for his faithful, never-ending love for me that will carry me through each day he gives me! (And ice cream. I'm blessed, because he gives us ice cream:)
I woke up with this song in my head today and I was singing it before my hubby left for work, so he started singing it and told me what a good song it is. Later, while I was driving, the song came on the radio! I love when God does that – and now I've heard you singing it, too! I think He's trying to tell me something. 🙂 Loved hearing your voice!!

I know…I just love his faithfulness…even when we aren't faithful, He is.
Oh my Lindsay–you're singing gave me goosebumps! Beautiful, as is the song.
One reason I have to bless the Lord is His amazing love and ability to give me second chances. His mercies are new every morning. Amen!
Thanks, Heidi. 🙂
Second chances are rare in our world. People hold grudges. I'm so glad God doesn't.
You have a beeee-autiful voice, Linds!

Thank you, friend!
He has been generous to me too. Given me waaaay more than I deserve.
You know I love your voice. I listen to your CD all the time! You need to make some new ones. Looking forward to this awesome new series! 🙂
I bless the Lord for his unfailing love today. When I mess up and am unfaithful, he's still faithful and just. I love that about him!
Aw, friend! That's so sweet of you. 🙂
I love that he is both just and merciful. Such a sweet, sweet contradiction–and yet, He could never be anything BUT just and merciful. He's so good!
Great singing.

I love that song, Lindsay, and your voice gave me chills! Wow!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
I love that song too, Jill. So much truth and depth.

I bless the Lord for that too, Keli!! I'm so glad to have met you and can't wait to give you a big ol' hug…soon!
Lindsay,
Lovely.

Thank you, Loree. Your words make me blush. Glad you enjoyed it!
The one that stuck out to me is health…I always seem to take that for granted, but I shouldn't.

Oh, believe me, I bless the Lord daily for ice cream!! 😛
AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! What a voice!! I sing, and I know a Voice when I hear it!
Such a blessing today, thank you!!
My friend that I've been praying for is still alive. Thank the Lord for mercy.
Thanks, Jennifer. I'm so sorry about your friend. Praying right this moment for him…and you.
