My grandparents are visiting from Texas this weekend!
It can be so hard to be separated from friends and family by city, state, and sometimes country lines.
That’s why I’m so grateful for the ease of transportation to get me somewhere else within hours.
In fact, I’ll be visiting my other grandma in late May, and then seeing a few friends for a writing retreat in June. I’m also very excited to attend the American Christian Fiction Writers conference in Indianapolis later this year!
Your Turn: Do you like to travel to see friends and family? Who do you love visiting? Who will you be seeing this year?

I hope you have a great time with your grandparents Lindsay.
We have some friends we've kept up with for years. Lived near their family in KY and now they've moved closer to us again. Always enjoy those visits. Hope you make some great memories, Lindsay.
Lindsay, how fun to have living grand parents. Enjoy your time with them! For me, my parents live about 1 1/4 hours from here, but we don't see them often enough. My husband's side of the family is spread out with a brother (and family) living in DC and his parents and other brother (and family) living in Hawaii. We'll be going to Hawaii over Christmas. I know, sounds pretty rough. 😉 This summer, we may drive to see some dear friends in Kansas City. We've gone back and forth to each other's houses for years. It's much more work taking road trips with two kiddos, but once we're on the road, I like it.
And of course, there's ACFW. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing people there. 🙂 Have a great weekend, Lindsay!
Have a wonderful time with your grandparents, LindsAy!
I spent the last two weekends seeing old friends and making new ones. I love visiting and getting together with friends and family, but traveling can be exhausting. Still, I'm so excited to see many writing friends at ACFW in September. Right now, I'm excited to see my son when he comes home for Mother's Day weekend next weekend.
