Sometimes, it’s the simple things in life that mean the most.
I was reminded of that on Sunday at church when a friend sang Cindy Morgan‘s “How Could I Ask for More” (see below).
Simple joys I’ve enjoyed lately:
- Sipping a passion tea at Starbucks and working on my novel.
- Grilling chicken and zucchini on a Sunday afternoon with my husband.
- Reading a good book by a friend on my Kindle while I’m at the gym.
- Laughing at my puppies’ crazy antics.
Your Turn: What simple joys have you experienced lately?
Like you, I've enjoyed a great read from a great friend. (People, you need to read Once Upon A Prince by Rachel Hauck. So. Good.)
And cherry blossoms…spring has finally hit Iowa. Yay!
Oh, oh, oh and last night I melted white chocolate and dipped strawberries in it…perfection.
And too, texts and tweets from one Lindsay Harrel that have helped me get through my return to work this week. Haha! 🙂
Yesterday I had all day outside on my patio. 80 degrees but breezy. I edited my story and drank sweet tea. Every now and then I'd look up and feel the presence of God so very near. (If I as editing, I'd delete "so" and "very" but I'm not so…) It was a great joy!
I've never heard that song before and LOVE the lyrics. Simple joys are everywhere, my Friend! Like you, coffee, animals, contentment in the moment … they all breathe life. Like our Savior. Hugs!
There is so much to be thankful for…sitting with my husband in church. working in the yard together, listening to our son sing "The B-I-B-L-E" in his toddler voice!
