You all know I love a good song.
I especially love a song with lyrics that me think.
That make me feel.
That make me … praise.
And Audrey Assad‘s new song, “Good to Me”, does all three.
So simple, yet so profound, is this truth: that even though things may not go our way, God is good to us. He is trustworthy. He is faithful.
He is all in all.

Just last night I was sharing with my Bible Study ladies that God is calling me to focus on His goodness. To remember that, even though things might not be going well from my earthly perspective, God is good and His plan for me is good. I love when He uses other people's words to confirm what He's whispering in my heart. Thank you for this post, Lindsay!
I can't listen to the song just now, but I'll definitely come back later. God has been good to me in MANY ways…just my amazing family, for one. And friends. And dreams coming true. But you know, I love what Gabe said above…I want to learn to remember how awesome and faithful and good God is even when my day-to-day life may not feel so wonderful. His plan is ALWAYS good, even when I can't see the whole picture…
We attended the memorial service of a loving husband and father and friend yesterday. He was the dad of one of my favorite students. Sigh. It was so hard, but yet it was a wonderful praise service…praising God because of His gift of eternal life.
It was great to sit and contemplate all that God has blessed me with: health, husband, kid…and eternal life.
I've never heard this song, Lindsay. WOW. Thanks for such a blessing today. God is indeed good to me — whether I recognize it as such or not. He is ALWAYS for me and NEVER against me. Soul refreshing.
