I so hope you all enjoy Megan and Crystal’s story. Here’s a bit about the book if you don’t know:
Megan Jacobs always wished for a different heart. Her entire childhood was spent in and out of hospitals, sitting on the sidelines while her twin sister Crystal played all the sports, got all the guys, and had all the fun. But even a heart transplant three years ago wasn’t enough to propel Megan’s life forward. She’s still working as a library aide and living with her parents in her small Minnesota hometown, dreaming of the adventure she plans to take “once she’s well enough.” Meanwhile, her sister is a successful architect with a handsome husband and the perfect life—or so Megan thinks.
When her heart donor’s parents give Megan their teenage daughter’s journal—complete with an unfulfilled bucket list—Megan connects with the girl she meets between the pages and is inspired to venture out and check off each item. Caleb—a friend from her years in and out of the hospital—reenters her life and pushes her to find the courage to take the leap and begin her journey. She’s thrown for a loop when Crystal offers to join her for reasons of her own, but she welcomes the company and the opportunity to mend their tenuous relationship.
As Megan and Crystal check items off the bucket list, Megan fights the fears that have been instilled in her after a lifetime of illness. She must choose between safety and adventure and learn to embrace the heart she’s been given so that she can finally share it with the people she loves most.
The farthest I’ve ever been is Canada. 🙂 I would love to travel to Holland during tulip season. This sounds like a wonderful story. Awesome prize pack too. Thanks for sharing with us.
I’ve never actually been to Canada, even though I’ve been to Europe! And thank you! I hope you enjoy it.
I have been to Florida. I am from NJ. My dream would be to go to Bora Bora or the Maldives
I lived in Europe for 10 years. We lived in England and Holland. We traveled all over curtesy of the air force. I would love to go to Australia. Great giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win
That is so neat you lived there. I’m jealous!
I haven’t traveled much at all. I have been to some surrounding states, and up to Canada (but just barely iver the border). I have never flown on a jet either, just a small airplane my Grandpa flew when I was a child. I dream of going places someday though, especially Ireland! Thanks for the chance to win the MEGA Launch Prize; I can’t wait to read Megan’s story and how she draws closer to Crystal while they work on the bucket list together!
Thanks, Laura! It sounds like you might enjoy the travel aspect of the book then!
The farthest that i have traveled is Hawaii. I would love to go to England/Scotland/Ireland some time. I have this book on my TBR list and can’t wait to read it. Thanks for the great giveaway!
Hawaii is amazing. I’ve been to both Kauai and Maui! I hope you enjoy Megan and Crystal’s story.
The farthest I’ve been is to Israel last month. I would love to visit Australia
Israel would be a dream. Was it just amazing???
The farthest I’ve been is Honduras and Mexico, but I’d love to do traveling in Europe!! We currently have plans to go to Israel later on this year, and I am very excited about that!!
Wow, that all sounds awesome. I’ve done Mexico and the British Isles, but would love to do the “mainland” of the European continent.
The longest distance we have traveled is from the very southwestern part of Arkansas to Fort Kent, ME, the most northern point in the United States, on our trip to the New England states two years ago. This summer we are going to Yellowstone National Park which will be another long trip for us. Both trips were/are on our bucket list of places to see. 🙂
I really want to go to Maine sometime. It looks so gorgeous in pictures. I’ve not done a ton of the East Coast since I live in AZ.
I have traveled as far as California and just in the edge of Mexico. I really want to go to Hawaii next, then Paris. I have read this book from Netgalley, but would love to have a real copy for myself. I truly enjoyed this book! Thanks for this amazing giveaway opportunity!
Yay for real copies. 😉 Good luck!
Taking a Caribbean cruise has taken me the farthest, but I want to visit England someday, which is on my bucket list 🙂
I’ve done both…both are amazing. I’m going on another Caribbean cruise this summer! Eek!
The farthest I’ve been is China, to spend some time with my sister who lived there for about five years. I would love to go to Alaska and to Italy. Someday! Congratulations on your book release!!
Thank you!
And yes, Italy is at the top of my bucket list.
I have never been out of the USA. Would love to visit Austria and Holland. I am older, so I know I will never have the chance.
But hopefully you can travel vicariously through characters in your favorite books! 😉
Every October my husband and I travel to Las Vegas for his work. That’s the farthest I’ve ever been. And although Vegas wouldn’t be my first choice for places to travel it’s fun to get away and enjoy some warmth before winter settles in!
Getting away is always the best…especially if my kids aren’t there. LOL!
I traveled to England and France during college (way back in 1979/1980!). I would love to traval to Australia. Definitely one of my bucket list items.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book! Can’t wait to share it with everyone I know.
Yay! Thanks so much for the support, Teresa.
And yes! I’d love to do Australia too.
The farthest I’ve traveled to is Australia, it was beautiful!
I’m so jealous. I want to go there so bad!
Next I am hoping to do a road trip out east for an “American History” trip!
My husband and I want to do this too…in the fall when the leaves are changing!
I’ve been to Mexico, Haiti, Costa Rica, England, and Ukraine, but the farthest I’ve travelled is Kenya. I would love to see France, Italy and the Holy Land before all is said and done though the truth is that I don’t actually travel very well! I am excited to do some “travelling” through your new book, Lindsay. 🙂 Can’t wait!
I hope you enjoy traveling from the comfort of your home. Hehe.
I have gone to most of the states to visit except Hawii and Alaska…I would love to visit those and Europe someday. Thanks for a chance at the wonderful giveaway…what great prizes
I’ve been to both Hawaii and Alaska…both beautiful in such different ways.
And I tried to choose prizes I’d love. I’ve had to hold back from keeping some for myself. LOL.
The farthest I’ve traveled is Calgary , Alberta, Canada and I loved every single second of being there!! I would love to visit Europe and Australia.
Ooo, Canada is on my must-see list–especially PEI!
I live in MS and the furthest I’ve been was Canada and Cancun, Cozumel, & Grand Caymen Island, Mexico.
I’m going to Cozumel and Grand Cayman this summer on a cruise (kid-less). I cannot wait!
Oh it’s so much fun! My kids were grown when I went. Have fun!
The farthest I’ve ever been is Canada and Hawaii!!
I’ve done Hawaii but not Canada. I need to go there someday…I want to hit PEI.
It’s not letting me tweet. Is anyone else having that problem?
Hmmm, others have been able to. You can just go over to Twitter and tweet about it, then just add your handle to the “URL” so I can verify you did it! 🙂 Let me know if you still have trouble. Thank you!!
I finally got it tweeted. But I did put my handle by the link in the contest.
The furthest I have ever travelled is back to the Caribbean. I would love to go to France-Marseille(The Count of Monte Cristo ), Provence, Paris etc.
Yes! I loved that book.
I traveled to Spain during high school. Loved every day I was there, I talked about it so much went back in my 20’s and traveled all the way down to Costa de Sol.
Spain is one of those places I don’t know that much about. I’d love to explore and find out more!
I have been to Guatemala (to adopt and another time to visit), Mexico, Canada, Bahamas, and at least 40 states. We have not been to the places your book took me, but I feel like I have now after reading your book!
Wow! What are the 10 states you have yet to visit? Please tell me getting to all 50 is a bucket list item! 😉
I have Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and the NE states of Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. We are debating whether we have been in both Carolinas or not?? We may do the whole NE this summer all the way to Nova Scotia this summer. We love road trips!
Europe. I love going there. One day I really hope to visit Australia though!
Where in Europe is your favorite? I love Ireland!
We lived in Germany for 2 years. I loved going to Switzerland and Austria. And I adore London!
So jealous!
We live in Missouri, so the furthest I have traveled is east to Connecticut & Boston & Orlando; west to Seattle and to California; north to just in the border of Canada, and south to Galveston, Texas. Can’t wait to read this book!
Thanks, Becky. I hope you enjoy it. And fun that you’ve gone all directions.
The farthest I have traveled is Spain, I think…I would love to go to England, France and Italy.
Yes! Italy is at the top of my list.
The furthest I’ve ever been is to the Philippines. I would go back again in a heartbeat. I’d also love to visit New Zealand, Israel, Prince Edward Island, to name a few place. 🙂
PEI is definitely on my bucket list. I love Anne of Green Gables. Sigh!
The farthest I’ve traveled at one time has been from Arizona to NC by car and from NC to Utah by car…..not sure of the mileage but i think those are the two times I’ve traveled the farthest unless Pennsylvania to Utah is as far….lol I’d like to go to Europe. I’d really like to go to Italy, as I have ancestors from there.
Whew. I live in AZ and can’t imagine driving all the way to NC. And yay to Italy! That’s our big bucket list item!
I’m looking forward to reading your book….I love the “bucket list” idea! I’ve been to Poland and the Ukraine and lived in Korea….Google tells me that Seoul is farthest….but only by about 10 miles! 🙂
Wow! That’s so impressive. And I hope you enjoy the book. 🙂
In January of 1979, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe. We toured Germany, Switzerland, France, Austria, Luxembourg and Lichtenstein. The two most memorable things that have stayed with me (and they are such TOTAL OPPOSITE TYPE EXPERIENCES) are touring Dachau & snow skiing in Switzerland. Seeing the exhibits, watching the film, touring the grounds and standing in the actual Gas Chambers where so many thousands of innocents were murdered after enduring the most unforgettable atrocities is something that can never be erased from my memory. I also had the opportunity to snow ski in the Alps. Bear I mind that I’m from MS & I had NEVER been snow skiing before in my life! I also was 4 months post-op from having my knee totally rebuilt (ortho surgery has come a long way since then!). It was phenomenal.
My Bucket List Trip is Bora Bora. I went with my parents to Hawaii when I was 14. I was captivated by all things South Pacific! We passed a bookstore & I bought James Michener’s epic Hawaii & as soon as I finished I bought his South Pacific. I still have both of those books. It’s been 45 years! Still on my Bucket List!
Farthest I have been is Abu Dhabi. It was fun. Therr were camels 🙂
Oooooooo! Camels! <3 😉
I’ve traveled to the Cancun Mexico area, and also Victoria, British Columbia. Without actually googling it I’m not sure which is further one is west and south the other is west and north, both the good ways away from me here in South Carolina!
Yes, they both seem far! 🙂
The furthest I have been is Hawaii for a special 20 year wedding anniversary. I hope to take our children some day. The furthest I would like to go is Australia. I have made a dear friend there and it would be amazing to travel there and meet her in person. Thank you for the chance to win such a fun prize pack.
Oh, how fun! I want to take our kids someday, but when they’re much older (right now they’re just 3 years old and almost 1, LOL). It wouldn’t be much of a vacation right now!
The furthest I’ve traveled is Acapulco, Mexico. I’d love to go pretty much anywhere… but particularly Israel!
This looks like a fabulous book! Definitely on my TBR list! Thanks for such a wonderful giveaway!
You’re welcome! I tried to find items I know I’d like to have. 😉
I haven’t traveled much but I’d love to go to Canada. Thanks for the giveaway! I’m looking forward to reading your book! : )
Thank you, Meghan!! 🙂
This book looks so amazing! I can’t wait to read! The furthest I’ve traveled was to Vancouver British Columbia to visit the site of When Calls The Heart. The next trip on my list is to visit my friend (that I actually got to meet in person for the first time in Vancouver) who lives in Australia. This girl is Melbourne bound!
Thanks, Teri. I hope you enjoy it. And wow! I actually know someone in Australia too. I need to figure out a way to visit her someday.
Farthest I’ve ever travelled would be San Diego California. Would like to make it to Ireland someday! ?
San Diego is gorgeous. It’s only a 5-6 hour drive from me and we go there every few years.
I was lucky enough to be able to spend a semester of college in France. Because we had so much time off, we were able to spend a bit of that time traveling as well. I visited Rome, multiple locations in Ireland, London, and Amsterdam. It was an amazing experience.
Wow! That would be awesome. I did a 6.5 week trip over the summer with the Honors college at my university and it was so memorable. We did England, Ireland, and Scotland.
The furthest I have traveled is really cross-country again and again and again. It was what my family did in the summers. I have been to Mexico and Canada, but I have yet to visit Ireland (my dream). 🙂
For now our next trip is back to California for a wedding. 🙂
Hey, not too far from me! (I’m in AZ)
I live in New York and have been to Canada but the farthest from home would be my trip to North Carolina.
That’s great! I’ve been to Mexico since I live in AZ, but never Canada!
The farthest I’ve traveled is New Zealand. There are so many places I want to visit: Iceland, Tanzania, Spain, Costa Rica, just to name a few. And I want to go back to France!
I’ve never thought of going to some of those places, but I’m sure they’d all be amazing!
Living in Chicago, I’m not that far ftom Canada, so I have been there. I guess the farthest place I’ve been is California. I’ve been there quite a few times.
Me too, but I only live one state over in AZ. 😉 Cali is one of my favorite places to go!
The farthest I have been has been Jamaica. I would love, love, love to visit Paris with my hubby….definitely on my bucket list!
I’ve done Paris, but not with my husband (before we married). It would be a different experience altogether!
The Caribbean…which was awesome! My dream is to visit Europe one day.
The farthest I’ve been is Australia. Beautiful country and wonderful, fun-loving people.
I have never been to travel much. The furthest I have been is from Georgia to Washington DC. My husband and I are dreaming of purchasing an RV and taking off across the US. My bucket list dream is to tour the British Isles.
I’ve been to South America once…I can’t wait to revisit there someday..!! I’ve always wanted to go to Europe, though. I would love to win!! Entered!
I’m not sure if Switzerland or Hawaii is further. I went to Switzerland in 2011 for work because the company I worked for (retired from) is based there. I went to Hawaii in the early 90s with 2 girlfriends. This book sounds so exciting. Great premise wiht good focus and encouragement of organ donation.
I’ve been to Canada & Mexico. I would love to visit Alaska & Hawaii.
The farthest I have ever traveled to is California and would love to go back someday.
I think that the farthest I have traveled from Miami, Florida to Fairbanks, Alaska.
I would still like to visit Australia.
I haven’t really been anywhere. But I want to travel!
The farthest I’ve traveled is Germany with my hisband. We went to Oberammergau and saw the passion play- it’s only performed every 10 years! It was all day long where you break in the middle have lunch and then come back to watch the end. An experience I’ll never forget.
Farthest I’ve been is Paris France, Brussels Belgium, The Netherlands, and the Rhine River Germany. Would love to go back to Europe and explore more
I live in New York was stationed in San Antonio Texas I would love to go to China would love to see The Great Wall
Hawaii-wow
